What affects the cost of timber flooring?
A new timber floor is priced from the floor area, board choice, laying method, subfloor condition, room shape and access. We need to know what is under the existing floor before we can define the installation properly.
Repairs are assessed separately. Matching older boards can take more time when the original profile, size or species is hard to source.

Do you install complete timber floors?
Yes. Timber floor installation (hardwood) is the main flooring work we take on around Fremantle and south of the river. We check the subfloor, the room and the boards before we quote, so send a wide photo, the floor area and anything you know about what's underneath.
Can you replace damaged floorboards?
Sometimes. We need to see the damage, the subfloor and whether we can still get a board that works. Isolated boards are often worth doing when the rest of the floor is sound, but widespread damage or a moving subfloor usually means a full replacement is cleaner.
Do you sand and finish floors?
Yes. We install, sand and finish hardwood floors as one job. The quote covers the full package, so you don't need to organise a separate flooring specialist for those stages.
Can new boards match an old floor?
We look for the closest practical match in species, profile and size. Timber is a natural product, so colour, grain and movement vary, and an invisible repair isn't always realistic unless you want a lot of wastage. We'll show you what's available before anything is ordered.
Do you install laminate or pre-finished flooring?
No. We do hardwood installation, sanding, finishing and selected repairs to existing timber floors. Laminate and pre-finished work isn't a clean fix when something goes wrong, so we leave it.
