Framing installation for renovations and builder-led projects.

Framing work we take on

  • Timber wall and roof framing
  • Light-gauge steel framing
  • Framing for renovations and extensions
  • Subcontract framing packages for builders

What we need before we quote

  • Current drawings and engineering
  • The builder managing the wider project
  • Who is supplying and delivering the frame
  • Site access and the expected work sequence

What affects the cost of steel and timber framing?

The cost depends on the current plans and engineering, the frame material, wall height, access and structural complexity. We cannot price framing properly from a sketch or an early concept.

Send the drawings, engineering, project suburb and the name of the builder managing the wider job. We’ll review the carpentry scope and tell you what is missing.

We price the framing installation shown in the current documents. Frame manufacturing, structural design and engineering stay with the relevant supplier, engineer and builder.

If the package suits us, the quote will state exactly what framing work and materials are included.

For a quote, send photos or plans with the job details. Read about material deposits, labour and progress payments. For a secondary dwelling, see our granny-flat carpentry service.

Questions about timber and steel framing.

Can you work from engineering plans?

Yes, when the drawings and engineering are current and the carpentry scope is clear. We can't price timber or steel framing from a sketch. Send the current documents, the suburb and who is running the build.

Do you supply framing materials?

Depends on the job. Sometimes we install a frame the builder or supplier is delivering, and sometimes the quote includes supply. The quote states who is supplying what.

Can you work for my builder?

Yes. Suitable subcontract framing can be discussed with the builder. We take on the agreed timber or light-gauge steel package, and the builder stays responsible for the site and the other trades.

Are you the builder for the whole project?

No. We take on the agreed carpentry and framing, and the project still needs the right builder, current plans and the other trades. If you need someone to run the whole build, that's not us.

“If you're looking for a trady that does what he says he's going to do then you've found one. Kyle was straight up, got in and got it done, he even cleans up. Great communicator as is needs to be when renovating an 80 year old house when unforeseen circumstances pop up. Have had Elysium run two projects and no issue calling them when another arises. Highly recommend.”
